Missing and sputtering at 55-65 mph low rpm

I just bought it a couple months ago, 05 F350 6.0 95k on it, all stock. All updates done. It is starting to sputter and miss about 1300 rpm 5th gear, just cruising... I can get on and off it and it runs fine, sputters a lot more before it is warm in all gears at the same rpm. As it gets warm it just does it in 5th gear. Any ides? Plugged in my buddies Edge Cts, no codes, temps all look fine. Oil and fuel filters done at the Ford dealer a couple thousand miles ago, I have put about 8 thousand on it.

Have you ever gotten an answer for this. I have the same issues and cant seem to pinpoint what the problem is even though I have taken it to several different places

I also had this problem and had my truck scanned. Nothin showed, did a contribution test, said it was good. FICM checked out. Do I break down and bring it to Ford Dealership

While cruising down the highway, mine would do a "woof" as my wife called it. It would "woof" a puff of black smoke. I checked everything I could. If I kicked the truck down to 5th and raised the RPM's it wouldn't do it. Then it got worse while towing my TT. But only do it at 1700 rpm in 6th.

Stopped in at Ford dealer, grabbed a new EGR valve. Changed it out at the campground, problem went away. Hasn't been back.

If this is what is happening to you, then that is what I did for mine.

I had the same problem for some time. Later my EGR cooler went out and I put in a Bullet Proof (Semi Bullet Proof Kit). I don't think I have that problem anymore now that I think about it.

What do you mean the FICM checked out????????????

Haveing 48Volts is a Great Sign But NOT the whole storey with the FICM.

Did you run a Buzz Test on the FICM???

You can also try a Ballon Test on injectors here is a few links I saved
