Holy sh@t man that is one horror story dealing with a vendor. Did they offer any explanations as to why it failed, why it's taking so long to return or anything to compensate you for the down time???
Thanks for sharing this is the stuff I like to know before dropping big money on nice to have items

It was blamed on "you got the painted one" and that goes out to be painted. At least they are now showing the time frame on there site for new orders.
Couldn't understand your last sentence. Are you running a larger alternator like
the one mentioned above and undersized pulley or a DC?
Both and not one from DC do things already mentioned aka : Backorder From Hell
This is where I got the info on what to replace it with. Stock Top Dual alternator with the smaller pulley. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...o-replace.html
You may want to read the whole thread. There is a lot of info and some good options like 3G Vs 6G.
On the other hand, if you want a DCPower alternator, buy it fromEd over at FICMRepair.com. He has them in stock, and I got mine in about 4 days. Unless you want a painted one or something fancy.
