Question Battery and high output alternator????

i have recently purchased a new high output alternator that will crank out 170amps max. im upgrading from a 60 amp alternator. my question is, do i need a different battery? right now i have one of leschwabs batteries in it. should i go with a dry cell battery? and if so, which one?

Regular battery should be fine. You will need to upgrade your charging wires. I would think you should be good with a single 4ga or if you have an external regulator 3 10 or 8ga.
