Everybody else getting frozen around the state? Yesterday morning it was 9* in Flagstaff......the condensation was frozen solid on the insides of the windows haha.
Looking forward to hunting Elk with my uncle next weekend!
It's a bit chilly in Gilbert, but this is the weather we wait all year for... so i'm not complaining.
Good morning Arizona! Thought I'd stop in and see what you guys were up to. It was about 8 here in eastern Nebraska this morning. I"m ready for spring!
I going on trail ride down in my neck of the desert.
Nothing real serious, just some soft sand and small rocks.
I'll be leaving my house around 8-8:30am and returning about 3pm.
I will be having lunch on the trail, and will have 2 out of 3 of my youngins with me (5+3)
Anyone interested just PM me
Definitely sounds better than Black Friday! I avoid that at all costs. I'll be out chasing Elk that day, been prepping the toyhauler today, dragging it out to the woods to get setup tomorrow morning. Hope everybody had a great weekend
What's everybody's plans for Turkey Day? I have inlaws coming in from Albuquerque for like 5 days. The bird is officially thawing
Gobble til ya wobble
home alone! my wife works, our Thanksgiving is Sunday after church. that is the only day everyone is not working.
does your hunt start Friday?
I always loved the Thanksgiving hunt. we would have Thanksgiving in the woods, we would dig a pit and pit cook turkey, ham, roast, elk from the year before and any other meat we had. the last year we did it in 6A we had about 30 family members show up. my Aunt from Oklahoma even came.
good luck on your hunt.
all three of us got our cow.
processed it last Monday. 220 2pound packs of hamburger! plus all the steaks and roast!
Yea it starts Friday, this is my Uncle's hunt, I am just there to be a pack mule! Love it though, wouldn't have it any other way. My toyhauler is already all setup out there in 6A, we'll head out to camp after dinner tomorrow. My brother is busy in 7E helping his wife who has a tag that starts on Friday, and he just finished up archery bull in unit 9. He hunted hard, and came up empty, TOUGH hunt in November with a bow!
where at in 6A are you hunting?
I normally camped in the North East of antelope meadow and hunted the aspens to the East and the pine flat quiet area.
if not there we camped on the North side of buck mountain and hunted South in to the cedars.
AZ Ray - let me know when you want to put together another 'mellow' trail ride. We're fairly new to the valley and would like to join you, likely just my youngest son and I, but momma may want to tag along if it's tame enough. December is out unless is 2WD only - (Installing Trans/Txfr) should be done in Jan = plan.
