My truck has been at my friends house. Some work being done while I have been traveling. New AC was overheating the truck. It appears that the radiator needed a quadruple bypass and instead... we did a transplant.
So new radiator... Whoo Hoooo.
New shocks too. My '67 should be driving like a '78 in no time! Not much chance for driving like a 2012, but you take what you can get.

Ehhh...... 2012 everything is choked down by emissions anyways! That's a huge reason why I plan on keeping my 7.3 Powerstroke for forever.....none of that crap to clutter up anything!

That is why I am looking for just the engine. It is a 15KW Generac industrial generator with a 4cylinder water cooled Mitsubishi engine. I can't seem to find one mighty max in the year range I need under $800 or so.

Problem with that is the generator itself has a bell housing like. It would take me years to find a compatible engine to that bell housing and from what I have read this 2.6L is only able to bolt up to it nothing else.
If only I had the rest of the PTO set up to hook up to the 89 F250 I would problem is I am missing the pump and stuff to hook up to the ZF5.

is it a diesel mitsubishi? if it gets too expensive it just might be cheaper to find another generac... I know we sold my dads for $1000...it had about 100 hours on it...but that was 3 years and 2100 miles away
his was a propane air cooled 18kw

There are always deals around, you just gotta keep your eyes peeled for them constantly. I bought a Honda 1000 eui generator for $80 bucks, in basically brand new condition! They sell for $800 new. Got to love a smokin deal

gas water cooled not diesel. Diesels they want double for.
To find another generator like this it will be $2K on up. An air cooled will only last a few weeks then it blows up because of the fine dust up here clogs the intake and such. A water cooled will last forever.
I don't care about traveling for a good deal because the generator I got before this one was a military 15KW gas water cooled for $400 and it was worth $5K I had to travel quite a ways to get it but was well worth it.
We are going to tear the oil pan off hopefully soon to see what is wrong and if it is easy cheap fix it and run it longer but we also have another generator we are setting up at this time (6.5Kw Onan from an RV) to get us by.

I found out that the engine was used in quite a few cars so we are going to start looking a bit harder now that I know what cars it is available in. It is kinda funny because my car that I sold was 2 years to new.

My biggest problem on finding another generator is it has to be 10KW or bigger to run the well (industrial well), run our welders, and charge our solar. Most I find are natural gas and I can't get natural gas out here we are only able to get diesel, propane, or gas.

I never have learned much about solar, but I never imagined that it would have to be charged from a generator! Isn't that sorta what the sun is intended to do, and have the battery bank store it, for use into the inverters when needed? Sorry to sound clueless.....I have never had a system like that. Love the idea though
