A long time ago my courtesy light door switches quit working and I never got around to replacing them. But one day all changed, here is what I did: I use AMSOIL MP Metal Protector for everything, it's synthetic and will displace water 10 times better than that WD stuff and it will penetrate and dissolve corrosion. Well, I popped the switches out and sprayed in some MP with the little red nozzle, worked it in and out a few times and wallah the courtesy lights came on! I kid you not. I went over to the other side and repeated the process. In less than 5 minutes they were working again and are still working to this day. That was in my 64 T-Bird. MP is electronic friendly and won't short out anything. You can even spray it in your distributor, let it dry for a couple of minutes then install it back

I don't sell AMSOIL but I use it for everything. Check out MP here: AMSOIL MP Metal Protector

Cheers

Larry AMSOIL has been a banned word/name for this site a while now, because of long ongoing pissing contest, don't know where things are today. FYI, don't want to see you get into trouble.

I searched the forum and only found 2 references to AMSIOL from 2006 that went to 2011 and another one concerning oil changes.
No trouble for me! Quite frankly since I'm new to the forum and if there is a problem with me saying the AMSIOL WORD and if it is banned I will delete my profile and bow out of the FTE forum.
I do reserve my right to free speech within reason of the forum and if I am not allowed to convey my experience with a product that I use and love. If someone has a pissing contest with AMSOIL I'm not really concerned as I know the product and have used it for decades and it is everything AMSOIL claims it is.
I went to war, fought commies so our country would be free of oppression.
Sorry FTE that's the way I am.......................
