Parking brake cable

82 F150, 4x4, reg cab, shortbed

I just got my new parking brake cable in the mail today, the old cable has the ends with little tabs on both where as the new one only has one end with tabs, the other end does not. I checked the package for a clip of some sort, didn't find any. Have any of you guys gotten a cable like this as a replacement? Wondering if they sent me the wrong one or if they just neglected to include a clip or how this works Old is on the left, new is on the right!

I bought it off of rock auto, I checked the picture, and apparently they do show a clip. I just hopped down to the hardware store and bought one. I'm not sure where to put which end, or off it makes a difference. I'm thinking the end with the clip should go on the truck frame and the end with the fins into the parking brake mechanism in the cab.

This was the picture from rock auto, I never noticed the clip before. I found the same style clip so it should be good
