Emergency Brake Cable routing?
My Truck never had the emergency brake cable on it when I bought it. I can connect it under the dash by srewing in on and using a c clip. It will also connect to the equalizer end to the rear brake by screwing it on.
How does it route it seems to long, the other end of the cable looks like the end that attaches under the dash with a c clip. Where does this clip to, how does it route?
It appears that it needs to be mounted so how to take up the slack so it will work.
Puzzled.

Emergency Brake Cable routing?
Just hope they didn't change it in 52.
The main long cable attaches at the rear crossmember and goes to the transmission crossmember where a little bracket is bolted. It then curves up to the cab and has a little clip that holds it to the transmission floor cover and attaches to the big lever on the driver side under the dash. The cable is held in two places on the lever. One holds the outer casing and the big c is held on by a pin. The lever is squeezed and pulled upward to engage the brake.
I think that is right. It's been awhile since I have removed it.

The back end of the cable has the bracket on it that bolts to the tranny crossmember on the right side. as said in previous post, it goes into the cab on the left side of the tranny and goes to the hand brake mechanism thru a hole in the end and is held there by a wire clip or "Jesus clip" and the end has a clevis on it. Theres a small hole in the lever that the clevis goes over and a pin goes thru both. You hold the pin in with a wire clip or cotter pin. The adjustment for the front cable is made at the lever end.

Emergency Brake Cable routing?
I struck out! I looked thru all my buckets and coffee cans and can't seem to locate it. It will turn up when I'm not looking for it. It is small, about 2-1/2 inches long, 3/4 wide. has 2 holes in it to bolt it to the crossmember. Has a hole thru it that has a lip in it for the cable to butt to, a hole thru it sideways to put a bolt thru to clamp the cable. I'll keep looking. Maybe someone else might be better organised than me and has one.
