Almost done with the install of the X/Bmod suspension upgrade from Cary.
This is the second time I've done the install (previously done on my 03 X V10)
So for conversations sake ... the second install was a ball buster just like the first!
No real problems doing it, not stalled on anyone item, just these trucks are BIG and everything including the necessary tools to work on them are HEAVY!
Really? I usually just use my trusty old scissor jack and my $14.99 "Mechanics Tool Set" from Wal-Mart. Maybe you're doing something wrong... "Just sayin"

Going out on a limb and going to say this statement doesn't apply.
While I'm in no hurry to do it yet, I'm in the process of sourcing parts for the V/B code swap on my '05.
The rear springs are sitting on the overload/bump stop and I can comfortably squeeze two fingers between the bump stop and spring on the front. So it's on my "to do" list
Haven't done this on anyone's truck yet, but I've read that taking the front bumper off makes life much easier when it comes to the front springs.

The extra time and effort of R&R front bumper will pay you back three fold.
Plus it's a good time to inspect, paint, de-rust and upgrade other items while the front bumper is off.
What is this rust you speak of?
I still have the original sticker on the drive shaft something like "Spicer March 2001". My floor pan is gray with overspray of Toreador Red.
It's all that weight you saved buying a 5.4. When you get that diesel....

I recently finished my first spring swap. I had a buddy help who is pretty fast but he and I knocked out the front and rear in about 4 hours. So, just saying, it's not that bad. We did remove the front bumper...

Yes Was totally kidding I'm used to pulling engines that produce power that makes the 6.0 look like a 5.4 with 7 of the spark plugs missing but then again we need an overhead crane to pull them I have a decent tool set, but nothing like I had before and worst of all no air compressor since we moved to VA. so I have to start over again building back up

Took me that long to get it up on the Jack Stands and get the tires off the rear!
