What tires are you running?
Installing new Michelin LTX M/S 2s and KYB Gas-Adjust shocks all the way around made a huge difference on my 2WD Ex. Very smooth on the highway and around town it does well enough considering the weight and style of the vehicle. Obviously an Excursion is never going to ride like a Cadillac but there are a few improvements that can be made.

The tires I am running are nitto terra grappler all terrain LT285/70R17 126/123R
They had 80 psi all around lowered to 55 front and 60 back going to see how that rides anyone have any input on the subject or know of any leaf springs or coils that will improve the ride thanks

Tire air pressure is a big factor. I run 55-60 fr/back gives good traction and cornering, but rough on brick streets.
I have michelin ltx ms2 and love them. My former tahoe felt about the same on my brick street, so i just accept it. Rides great on hiway which is where 75%+ of the miles come from.

You can always switch out the rear leaf springs for super duty springs. A B code rear spring would most likely give you the closest to stock height as possible. We sell a good amount of the B codes and customers seem to like the ride and added stability out of them. Send me a message if your interested!
