Just putting together a 2011 350 with a 6.7. Purchased it as a non runnin repo. we rebuilt the motor due to dropped valves. put 2 new heads on and put my basket of parts back together. Got it done. Noticed the radio powered up but no volume. Finally after troubleshooting it for a while decided to remove it .thats when I found out that while it was at the dealership awaiting repo after being diagnosed with bad motor someone must have removed the factory nav unit and installed a xl or xlt CD player only one harness would plug in to power it the others don't fit. Does anyone know where there is a good deal to be had on a factory nav unit for a 2011 lariat 350. Thanks again
The radio that you removed must have come from another model year prior to 2011. I removed the radio from my 2011 XLT and put a Nav radio in it with no cable problems. It was plug and play after mounting a GPS antenna on the roof of truck. Both radios had two multi-pin plugs on back. The Nav radio did have a center connector for the camera connector if equiped.
A Ford Nav radio is going to cost you around $1800 on eBay.
Are you sure it came with Nav? Does it have the GPS antenna on the top driver's side of the roof?
