Cab Mounts for a 1940 1 1/2 ton

I checked the link that christurney77 provided (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/92...ab-mounts.html) in response to timm1564’s post, V8 122 inch 1 ton (regarding the wooden cab mounts and found it very helpful. My question is, are the mounts the same for a pickup and a big truck? I'm getting ready to install the cab on my '40 1 1/2 ton and have no blocks to compare. If they are different, does anyone have dimensions or drawings of the proper mounts for a '40 big truck? Thanks in advance.

Bernette... Can you post your dimensions to the link I posted earlier? We can send out as others ask for these dimensions. I think that would be great for later!

I think I've almost got it. Just not sure of the left side where it tapers upward. The end dimension is 1 9/16" but there appears to be a missing dimension to show how much the mount tapers upwards. There appears to be a dotted line which corresponds to the lower limit of the taper but I'm not sure of what the figure should be. Thanks.

the dotted line was from nothing too 3/8 . 1 9/16 too 1 5/8 might just be ware ,i wouldn,t think 1/16 would change anything.

Thanks to all for the info. Now all I have to do is fire up the band saw and make some saw dust...

Who knew? CGFord Parts shows the floor pans and toe boards to be the same from '40-'47. I think only the fender wheel openings were different, but I'm a "new" truck guy.

i don,t know why mine is different. i remember trying to fit the front supports and there was like (too floor tins meeting together with a 1/2 inch 90 degree bend on both)a floor board reinforcement. which didn,t line up ,with notch in wooden support. maybe a 2 ton has more reinforcement.this is the better of my 2 pictures theres more contrast on this one than the finish one ,which is all black.
