So, as of a week or so ago I've noticed that the truck has been having an erratic boost issue. Sometimes when I go to get onto the freeway and have the truck under a good load it will build boost normally up to 20+ PSI but when I go to back down the throttle for cruising speed it drops down to 0 and stays there. If I get back on the throttle enough for it to downshift the boost comes back up and runs fun the rest of the drive. I've watched a scanner during the time and found that the VGT is at .85 when the boost is reading 0. MAP appears to be 14.9-40, EBP is 14.9-50, MAF is somewhere around 20-340 g/s. I was wondering if the turbo was sticking shut, but clearly the ECM is requesting it closed. Anything else I should check?
No codes at all in the PCM or FICM. ICP is dead on. 22% at idle with 580 PSI which has what it's read since it was bulletproofed. ICP actual vs desired is always within 10-20 PSI of each other. Was thinking about pulling the EBP sensor and tube and cleaning them to see if it makes a difference.
That's what I was curious if mine was sticking. If the vanes are sticking open that would explain why it feels so laggy when it happens. I'm debating at this point if I want to pull the turbo and rebuild it with a billet wheel or if I just want to go to a Powermax.

I did nothing. Lol rodded on it a bit and it free'd up.
Yea, mine is working fine now, but I know that it could use taking apart and cleaned. At that point I'm trying to decide if I want to take it apart and clean it and upgrade things with a billet wheel or if I want to go to a Powermax.

I probably should clean mine anyway. I still have to replace the up pipe gasket. The one that IPR sent burned up when a bolt loosened up. I'll pull the turbo to do that. Might as well clean it too.
