Utah 2015???
Moab is purdy good. They have a Wendy's and a Micky D's. A cool t-shirt shop just north of the visitors center. The VC is a BLM office and has maps and a lot of books. Across the street used ta be a 1hr photo place ifin yer still using film an a ice cream place ta wait. They have low cost gas for that area and grocery stores. Across from Micky D's used ta be a radio shack and campground for showers.
Camping near Moab is highly restrictive though. Ya have ta have yer own porta potty. Many places including my favorite have been closed to camping. They really want folks ta stay in campgrounds and spend a lot of money in town. There are micro breweries fer the night crowd and I was once treated ta a $8 cup of coffee (over 10 yer ago)(just plain coffee and it was really good). That was in a old building in town famous for it's eggs benedict. Had trouble with spring break folks taking over some years back. I was there once when there were so many folks there weren't enough room ta break wind. Trails are pretty good but I like the views better down on HITR, Beef Basin, or up on the swell. But ifin ya like sharin the trails with whole bunches of folks ya never met afore then it is the place ta go.

We also went over Bears Ears to Bridges NM and did a section of the HITR trail from Clay Hills Pass through Cow Tank to Comb Ridge. The HITR trail ends at San Juan Hill and we went on a very short distance to the River House Ruins: TrailDamage.com - River House
