Kind of late notice but I am taking a long weekend in 2 weeks and going to Colorado. A co-diver would help. I plan to leave Thursday September 4th at 10:00am and drive to the Pueblo/Canon City area. Friday is a kick back day taking in the sites after a late start and working my way to St. Elmo. Saturday will be doing Mt. Antero trail and a bunch of target shooting. Sunday will need to drive back to Wichita and return to work early Monday morning.
Well I plan to pay for the fuel an campin is free. I'd even treat ta $1 menu on the way out un back. I'd even share sandwiches at camp. Onlyist cooking I'ma plannin is cobbler Saturday night. I'd even treat ta yer very own shower. Course I kin see how it'd cost a feller some over time pay by taking time off. I jus work part time so's I don't never see no ot pay.
Thing is ole Sundance an Caveman went out thet way last year ta do Antero an couldn't find it. So's I need ta go an show um where it's at. They think that it was hid last year when they's thar fer the filming of thet cable show bout them gem miners. It was either that ur Alien Brat done went an tricked um inta doin Baldwin Lake. Anyway thets the story an they is sticking to it.
Last year I had ta hold on to the truck when I got out up at the top. Ifin I kin git a co-driver we'll do it. If not ole Bob says I kin ride with him and navigate.
It was fun. We did Twin Cone instead of Antero though. TrailDamage.com - Twin Cone Did some shootin. Even made cherry fruit surprise. Sis need the BFG's that were back here in the shed. The tires on her now are too stiff and would not grip. Dan's Rubicon had trouble where I ended up parking. Mike's CJ and Black Star did really well.
The trail head is where I have camped in the past. It is at Kenosha pass just across from the pit toilets. I think we stopped there the time we did Red Cone.
