So I got the power steering working good after gearbox replacement and a pesky leak. Last week out of the blue she steers like steering is manual it went from easy one handed turning to two handed overhand-underhand turning. Would a bad/worn out pump cause this?
Should you find the fluid level good, try a no cost purge. Raise both front wheels off the ground and turn the steering wheel from sun rise to sunset and back 20 times. Lower it back and give it a power on test.
I may have found the problem on this. Over the weekend was doing the front brakes and checking the bearings etc.
While jacking up drivers side I saw a gap/space where the pivot bushing should be. I will be ordering for both sides to replace which is my question.
Can anyone offer up tips, tricks, advice or general input for this replacement? I haven't worked a beam front end before but have done coil springs and leaf springs.
