Pistol safe suggestions

Was just searching the archives and found very little on this subject.

I have a 2001 F-350 4 door with front buckets and center console/storage box.

For a while I have been checking out different possible safes to tastefully install in my truck and have not found anything yet that I believe to be convenient and practical.

I'd like to get something that can at least carry 1 full size 1911 and a couple mags. Also want to have a spring assisted door with keypad type entry. I have seen a few pictures of the center box containing a safe which would be great since it would be readily available to both the driver and front passenger. Does anyone know where to get one of these or do you have any other suggestions, recommendations or pictures?

I think they may have what your looking for or at least a
place to get some ideas.

I think amazon has the console vaults as well

Anyone have a good suggestion for storage with a bench seat that is not the little safe with a cable around the seat frame?

I've got several commercial ones and they're OK, but my favored one is homemade. I started with a military ammo can then drilled it to accept a quality hasp.

I then JB welded it BUT while still moveable I secured it with bolts. Once dry I buggered up both ends of the bolts and added another layer of JB.

Finally I secured it with a flexible security cable and strong padlock; one end of the cable looped through the seat tracks then back to the box.

The smaller ammo box can be nearly tucked underneath, not wholly but enough to be invisible when looking through the windows.

Although slow, it's much larger (and I feel it offers more deterrence). I've used it to hide money from the bride AND several full sized handguns - when necessary). DON'T TELL MY WIFE.
