sub box under the center console
hey guys, this is my first post in the forums and wanted some advice on building a sub box for my truck. i have a 08 f-150 super cab. i am pretty much looking for 1 10 inch sub to give the lower end some more bump. the speakers i am looking to use will either be an alpine type r, or an old ppi sub depending on mounting depth requirements. i was originally going to put the box under the rear seat in the factory sub location (down fireing). i want to be able to fold up the rear seats for storage when neccessary. i recently saw a picture of a box built under the center console (also down fireing) that i really like since it would allow me to keep all of my cargo room. has anyone else done this and can give me some advice (airspace, will a 10 fit?, are there modifications that have to be made to the seat?. also how do you remove that seat?

JL audio made some stealth boxes that fit in the console/or replaces the seat portion of the center seat that housed a 10" sub. However, it does not look like they offer anything for your truck, only the Super Duty. If you write them they may look into it, otherwise I think you are on your own.
