Strange A/C issue...

Blows cold, so not a freon issue, but it will sometimes just suddenly stop blowing cold as if I punched the "A/C" button disengaging the compressor. Sometimes if I just wait a while it will come back on by itself, sometimes I have to stop and shut the truck clear off and take the key out, then start it back up and all is well again and it blows cold again.

High pressure switch failing???

BCM issue???

Anyone with a similar experience?

Maybe the clutch on the AC is failing. Or the condenser is shorting out. Best answer I can give you.

Condensor is nothing more than a radiator, can't short out. You need to get the pressures checked.

A couple things come to mind. Could be a bit low on Freon, causing the compressor to kick off due to low pressure. If it's only present at low speed perhaps the engine fan clutch isn't holding all that well, causing high pressure to kill the compressor due to lack of airflow over the condenser. My other thought is to check for dirt/debris between the condenser and radiator, blocking airflow over the condenser (condenser will be in front of the two radiators).

I had an add A/C issue as well. Using my scanner to reset the computer was what fixed it. This was on my 2011... Another poster had a similar issue where it was the computer that was confused. I would still check everything else mentioned though too.

This is what I think it is since I can shut the truck off and restart it and the a/c starts working again.
