Ac Cold Then Warm

The AC in my truck will work like a champ for maybe 15 minutes and then the air gets warm. If I cycle it on and off a few times, it will usually come back on for a bit. Should I check the connections at the compressor? Would it hurt to add a little of the refrigerant?

I wouldn't just add refrigerant unless you know it's low. More ain't always better...

Check to see if it's cycling (a tell-tale sign of low refrigerant) or the clutch. There have been somewhat common stories lately about clutches not pulling in...

Can u hear the clutch engageing and disengageing?

I will listen and see if I can hear the clutch engage. If the clutch is or isn't engaging, what is the next step?

Sounds like my truck...it cycles at idle. It only does it at idle though, if im moving its always cold but if im idling it just goes cold then warm and back and forth. Still havnt figure that out yet.
