Is there a fix for this? Mine is wiggling more and more. Is there a way to tighten it, or do you have to replace it? Also, I do not have the bed step if that matters . If I have to replace it, I think I'll just get it LineX'd instead. Thoughts.....advice? Thanks.
I ended up putting a machine screw and nylock nut to hold it down and prevent it from flying off into a following vehicle... I lost all the plastic tabs that hold it into the tailgate sheet metal openings.
It would cost me $120 to replace it, but I know I'll just wreck it again in short order. That part of a tailgate is a high wear location though, so I'm not too surprised.
AZ, both suggestions will work great.
I ripped mine off the first time I backed my snowmobile out of the bed.
Lucked out and it has stayed on since then, think it was only missing a couple lugs.
Thanks for the replies, sounds like I just need to replace it since it just snaps in place. Guess I can start looking into that or see how much LineX will cost.
I replaced mine already #2 is shot. Linex will work if you don't mind seeing the holes where it mounts. I think it would look like poop.BTW I have the Linex bed done. If anyone is thinking about the guy in Waterbury CT that guy is a hack!!
He did more damage to my truck in a day than I have in the 3 years I have owned it
