Was there a rear shock absorber kit for 69 F350 duallys?

I saw reference to a rear shock absorber kit in a line drawing online and several of the auto parts websites reference rear shock for these trucks.

My dump bed has a ton of vibration to it after going over bumps, I currently just have leaf springs on my truck. I don't expect it to ride like a car or even a half ton truck but even a small improvement in ride would be welcomed. Especially since shocks are so inexpensive.

 

Just look at websites catering to 4wd's for a dual shock kit as the 73-77 F-250's used the same frame width. They used a Dana 60 the same as your F-350 60/70.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think it would be a worthwhile project as far as smoothing out the excess bouncing around?

 

Air Shocks may be a better way to go since you can try tuning them in to your needs.
But don't think you'll get much relief if also empty and going to fast over washboard roads with out much of any axle spring give.

But axle hope where the spring gives then a shock could help..
