Two shops told me that my AODE transmission in my 94, 130K, is shot and it will cost between $1,000 and $1,500 to rebuild it. Has anybody ordered a tranny and swapped the two?

I bought my Mazda 5 speed from www.pheonixhardparts.com. I paid about $1100 for the tranny, including shipping to the east coast, and return shipping for my busted tranny. My mechanic charged me $300 to install it. I was qouted between $2000 and $2500 for a rebuild of mine, and found that pheonixhardparts.com was a MUCH better deal.
Is that the place that sells stuff on ebay? I was looking at their ZF transmission rebuilds at 1,000 bucks plus a core charge and shipping. I decided against them because I can get a brand new ZF from fordparts.com for 1,200 or so plus shipping. Might want to check them out. Autos are much more $$ to buy and rebuild because a manual is much simpler.
