If the old clips are still in there & are in good condition, I wouldn't worry about it. If you removed the old clips, but forgot to install the new ones, I'd put the new ones in, as they may have more than one job to do, like helping to keep the pads properly aligned so they wear & brake more evenly, without noise.
I just finished a front brake job on my 94 Taurus & I chose to replace the old clips & rotors, even though they looked ok, torqued the lug nuts to mid range in 3 steps, nice quiet, smooth, even braking & no more high frequency vibration now.
