Gotta wonder about some people these days

Went down to my local Ford dealer today to see about getting the upfitter switches and harness, when the girl working there looked them up, she told me..... " You can only get those if they came on the truck from the dealer" "they don't make an add-on kit for those" so I asked her what they do when a person comes in that needs to replace them... "OH we can get replacements" WELL DUH.... then I had to explain to her well just look up the replacements then.... $76 for the switches and $68 for the harness... guess I go back to searching for a wrecked one with them LOL

I just bought them on Ebay and it was basically that same price. $149 shipped, no tax. If I remember right it was only like a $50 upgrade if the truck came with it.

the 4 switch pod for adding accessories that you want to be able to turn on and off that mounts in the dash usually next to where the trailer brake control goes

the upfitter kit is 4 switched relays that allow mid-amp (15-30A) electronics to be added with only a wire.

Most kits are much more expensive when added on as opposed to factory ordered. Part of this is inventory, labor, stocking, pulling stock, etc... I don't mind the extra price, I just love the modularity of these pickups.

I bought my second set off of eBay for around 140. Unfortunately outside of finding them on a wrecked truck, that's the cheapest you will find them, but in my mind the convenience of having the switches for accessories is worth it.

wasn't so much worried about the price, but the lack of knowledge and attitude of the parts person here, IF they weren't the only game in town as far as dealers I would try and get them thru someone else. but they (Fremont Motors) have bought out pretty much every dealer in the state of Wyo regardless of brand ( well all except Nissan and if they offered a diesel I might have bought one of them)
