Is this item color-specific? I see them often in a local 'yard, in different colors.

Most of the ones I have seen in the past has looked like the one in the picture: green and yellow. I think I have seen some that are black and white. (You just don't see these trucks in junkyards that much anymore!) But, this valve is made specifically for the carburetor bowl vent, so the correct valve will be found only in the vent line from the carburetor bowl to the charcoal canister!
It is usually found up close to the carburetor, like this:
This item is not available at auto parts stores and Ford discontinued making these, so PLEASE let me know if you happen to find one!
Well, I do like the idea of others knowing what I'm looking for. However, since I rarely go to the junk yard I'm not really giving back much, so rarely read the list. In other words, I think we need something but don't know what it should be.
