UPDATE::: Finally brought the truck into work and put in on a lift. I did notice that the rear u-joint on the front drive shaft need to be changed. And when it was on a lift, I heard the noise coming directly from the t-case.
I got fed up and just brought it to a transmission shop. They replaced the u-joints and started working to identify the other noise. Seems that it had nothing to do directly with the t-case.
There is a 4WD locking hub actuator on the knuckles, and the one on my F/L knuckle must have gone bad. That part was only $100 through Advance.
All-in-all, $700 later, the problem is solved. Thanks for all the advice.
