Need a straight answer...
Hello everyone, I recently picked up a 76 Hiboy (360/435/205/44hd) Right now the truck has 38.5 boggers and what appears to be the stock suspension/leafs. I need to replace a broken d.s. Front spring so I was looking at replacing the original equipment with a 4" lift . My question: can I run the 4" lift without changing my steering (hydro assist)? And, can I use the same spring in the rear as the front? ( I kno they are different width 3" compared to 2.3") I do plan on going to a Dana 60 and Saginaw but I need a spring and I can use all the lift stuff on the 60 later, so before I order all my stuff, will this work?

Also, the steering geometry will be stressed to the max, particularly the drag link/control valve assembly, which will be at a severe angle resulting in bump steer.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just going to replace it with a factory leaf until I gather my parts (my buddy has a 01 SD he's taking the motor out of and "selling" me the rest of the truck lol). I'm just waiting on him for the parts. A new question, can I use the steering box from his truck as opposed to a 77-79 250?
