4x4 tranny
Hey everyone, 90 lwb 2wd extended cab f150. 351 e4od ( I think) . I purchased another 90 with no motor and a rusty body to switch the 4x4 axles and parts. Got it on eBay and the guy advertised it was long bed got into the next state and it was short bed.
Now I'm thinking I want to use the short bed truck to build a buggy of some sort. My question is....
I have a 302 motor that is carb with only 60,000 original miles that I want to use. I can't use the electronic transmission that is currently in the short bed obviously. Do you guys suggest a c6, c4 or something else to swap in a carbed setup. And what about transfer case? Can original be used? If not what does everyone suggest to replace it?
I know fords but I'm very green in the 4wd world so any advice would be appreciated
