No Timing Mark?

I bought a 78 F100 400ci that has no timing mark thingy. You know, the metal pointer that points to the harmonic balancer. How hard would it be to pluck one off a 400 at the junk yard? How does it attach? Do I have to pull my harmonic balancer off to install?

Most install via two bolts in the timing cover. And you don't have to pull the balancer.
