45k miles, stick w dino oil or switch to Mobil 1
#16
advanced undercarriage protection system does not work when a customer comes into the shop complaining about an oil leak though.
first thing i always asked was "did you switch to synthetic oil?" was most often followed by yup.
and after switching back to regular dino oil the leaks went away.

Again, stick with dino

Its hit and miss from what I have heard and seen I'd just use semi synthetic and see how it goes like that and if it has no leaks then go full synthetic. Try it and if it leaks than that just means it was gonna try and start leaking anyways just a little farther down the road had you of stuck with dino oil on that oil change.

I'm definitely not a fan of synthetic, but I'm just 1 person. I believe it was meant primarily for newer engine designs. Rebuilt engines, sure. Engines with unknown maintenance, definitely not.
It really depends on what your expectations are. Are you gonna justify the extra expenses with longer, extended drain intervals? Are you doing mostly highway miles? Synthetic does help with fuel mpgs.
Literally, decide what expectations you're after and go from there.
