Trailer Controller, how do you operate it?

Then there is proportional electric brakes where the controller has a accelerometer to since the decellerarltion in the tow vehicle and brakes the trailer proportionally. I just installed on of these on my truck because the standard electric controller stopped working.

They all have adjustments. Stand electric brakes adjusts the maximum voltage to the trailer brakes and how soon the trailer brakes apply after hitting the brake peddle.

Proportional electric brakes adjust the max voltage the the trailer brakes andhoe aggressively those brakes are applied.

I know nothing about hydraulic.

Stand cost $20 to $60.
Proportional cost $70 to $150

As diesel dan said surge brakes are a different animal. The TBS controler does nothing at all for the brakes just completes the circuit for the lights.

The controler only works on electric brakes.

The tow command set up 05+ is proportional based off the mastercylinder it works in conjunctions with how much imput the brakes have vs the cheap aftermarket stuff that activated when the brake switch is tripped which sucks when moving livestock or loose material. I love the factory controller best one ive had
