All this info is very confusing about what fluids to use in 5r110 transmissions.
I am understanding that my 2010 5.4 with 5R110W 5 speed should use the LV fluid? I am at 64K miles and due to for a change.
It seems to be the older 5R110 behind the 6.0 motors are having the issues with the LV fluid.
You should be fine with LV. If you really want to be confused have you gotten to the part about only having a heated flush machine used or drain and fill run drain and fill.

There isn't a single 6.0 5R110 transmission having an issue with LV fluid.

Yeah, I know about the heated flush machine. No dealers around me have that machine so I will drop the pan and replace the filter. Then I will put a couple hundred miles and drain the pan again and fill with fresh fluid.
