The pick I used is a "J" hook, I had the same results. I ran the point under the o-ring and pulled straight up. Mine were still flexible. A couple broke and a couple shot on the floor.

I've done two things at various times: One, there exists a cap which only has one nipple on it. That right there, if you have two of them, solves the problem.
If you don't have that, just take a 1" piece of hose and thread a 1/4-20 bolt into it. Hose clamp it tight, and you've got a little plug.
Worked wonders for me; I've never had any leaks from those plugs.

Edit:Here's pics of my main truck's engine:

I can't show you guys the bolt-plug method, because I had two spare single-nipple caps I installed the last go-round on this rig. My second rig currently has the bolt-plugs in it, though.

Thanks. Simple enough.

Man, sure glad I don't have to do any wiring on your truck, LOL

It's theft deterrent!

Actually, it started out with clean, zip-tied wires, and then pulling it apart every couple weeks for the last year took it's toll <_<

Return lines leaking at 3 locations

Looks like its time to do the return lines on this new project.

Checking up on some open ends in this thread.

Someone said:

Don't forget about the "olive" o-rings at the fuel filter head and back of the injection pump (two of the most often forgotten about, but usually most important parts of why people complain about air intrusion).

Any part number and source for thieve?

Also,
Are the kits for 25-40$ on eBay satisfactory or anything more preferred.
