Wire Gauge Question
I was helping a friend replace some wiring on his Volvo's horn. I noticed that the horn wires were different gauges. The positive wire appeared to be 16 gauge and the negative appeared to be 22 gauge wire.
Is this normal? I've never see different gauge wires used before. This was also the first two-wire horn I'd ever seen. Usually the horn gets ground from the chassis (like on our F150's).

They do things differently on a lot of the foreign cars. The + wire was probably bigger because it is longer and goes somewhere else in the car. Since the ground wire is very short, it can be smaller.
