I would like to tie into the factory horn wire without connecting a wire out at the horn. Does anyone have a schematic that shows where that wire goes in the engine compartment? I believe it is a brown wire. Thanks
I tied in behind the front grill. You will find 2 horns there and one with a plug. Easiest place to tie in. i was able to do everything without removing the from grill. Used a plastic pry bar to disconnect the horn wiring latch and fed the cable up through the top to have more room to work. Used a tap crimp and ran wire to my relay for trigger.
Initially i tried tracing the wire into the engine baby but everything merges together into a huge loom and i didnt feel like destroying that.
haven't seen where the wire goes, but curious what you're doing? tying to upfitter switch or having something else that triggers the horn?
Using a Hella relay or something?
I plan to use one of the uplifter switches to engage air horn when regular horn is activated. From the wiring schematic, it appears I can cut the wire from the particular uplift switch fuse power and connect the signal wire from horn and negate the need for another relay.

I agree the wire seems to go into the abiss, hence my question. Lol
