Hey IronCobra, where do you access the use of the Uplifter switches? Are they accessable at the fuse pnl or do you need to pull the from the dash? Seems that as a purposed option, they should be easy to utilize!
Under the steering colum panel just left of the opening are the upfitter wires and the firewall pass thru wires( which come out behind the engine bay fuse box and r very short!) On my mobile at the moment, will post links in a few
Probably for the same reason people rarely tailgate me for too long.
Savage NFS shere you get that little one from?
The big light came in. YEAH it bright. Left it on for a hour to see how much heat. Not much at all, it really does not need the big heat sink. Now I just need to mount it.

Under the bumper. I will have to make a bracket that extend a couple inches away for the truck. Which means I might hit a rock and take off the light. This is not likly.
Next location is where the front license plate, which means moving the license plate down. What I don't like about this one is it will reduce the amount of air to the flowing to the condenser and radiator.

I'm thinking of doing the license plate area.. I think you will have equal or more air
as the LP blocks a lot and deflects more.

The light has a much larger front surface area then the license plat, "I THINK" . I will measure and then do the math. But that would be a GREAT location.
I'm always out in the desert in 100+ degree temps towing. So I must considered air flow. It sucks to be stuck on there.
I could also mount the light to front bumper on top with additional brackets. I'm now thinking of replacing the plastic top on the top of the bumper with black diamond plate and building the bracket to that. That would look nice and be functional.

the LP on my dually is 13 wide x 6 tall in the opening.. 78sq inches
the 24 in light bar is 24x3 = 72 sq inches.
So I bit the bullet and purchased a 24" LED Light bar to accent the other lighting upgrades I did recently.
WOW. Talk about bright. I paid $145 for two of them on Amazon for it and have been blown away by the output and performance thus far. Even better, it had ALL 100% positive reviews. So I'm thinking it should hold up pretty well (crossing fingers).
I've been looking for a LED light bar and this looks sweet! Since I have Prime I might just go ahead and buy one. Thanks for posting!
