Well, my truck was running pretty hot, so among other things I swapped out the stat and WP. The old stat was in backwards
WP...I bought a NAPA Reman by Cardone...when finishing-up the install one of the hub holes stripped out. I had to get the truck back on the road, so I finished it up. What should I do...tap the hole,,,pull it and replace it or get another brand. Does anyone make a good WP for the 300/4.9??? Thanks!!

I would recommend the Ford/Motorcraft brand.....I still have the original WP in mine after 31 years and 180,000 miles.
I don't bother with reman pumps any longer. 99% of the time, there's a new pump available for not much more money, and you don't have to deal with threaded holes that are buggered up.
Cardone used to be a decent rebuilder. These days, they are almost a reseal/repaint outfit, and they send everything to mexico for "rebuild".
