I used the napa edition pump

It worked fine but I did pay about 120 for it.

These pumps seem to go right around 100k

If I had to replace mine, I'd buy new; International dealer or Napa.

I got the reman and I'd get another if I needed another. I've always had good luck with NAPA remans. When mine went out it drip a little onto the driveway for about a week then Sh** the bed on the way to school one day. That price was also at our discount and tax free (farm =) )

Alan, the Airtex one that you speak of is what I just installed on my truck. No leaks, but with 160K on what I think was the stock one, it was a preventative maintainence swap. I replaced all 3 of my hoses and serp belt while I was at it.

As far as quality goes, I don't see any problems in it's construction. In fact, it's a one-piece cast aluminum, versus the multi-piece stock one. It came with a new gasket, and decent instructions (which I doubt you'll need). The other thing I like better is the elbow that goes to the lower radiator hose is molded in, instead of bolted on like the stocker. My stock pump was dripping just a small amount where the elbow bolted up; won't have to worry about that again. Install was as to be expected, and no leaks. I've only had it on for about 400 miles though, so I can't report a whole lot. Any specific questions?

The one-piece cast aluminum sounds pretty sweet!

I bought one off of flea bay awhile back, leaking now, never will buy a reman again. That's just my opinion. I went and bought a new one from the dealer today,$216.00

I have the Airtex pump installed. I paid more for it, about 140 bucks, but I also got it from a local parts place in case I have any issues. It has been on now since July with no problems. Just remeber to go to IH to buy new bolts for your t-stat housing. They are prone to break.

I found a new 1 piece Cast Aluminum pump at a local parts house with lifetime waranty for around 150. I think its is an airtex but I need to go look at it today. Thanks Jetdoc those bolts have been out 3 times so far, I guess a trip to IH would be good PM.

Got my new two piece waterpump from a local parts house for $100. Came with the new lower neck and all O-rings. It is manufactured by ASC Industries. Have had it on for about 1 1/2 years, with no problems. I don't think it has a lifetime warranty, but they said they would "take care of me" if it failed. Good to deal with local people you've known all your life.

I bought mine at Carquest, and have had no problems. Carquest P/N for the o-ring for the inlet tube is the the same one for the t-stat housing, so I chunked the o-ring that came with the pump, and it worked great.
