New shifter boot = heaven
I've owned my truck 2 years. And never really realized how much noise was coming from the shifter boot. Especially after riding in other 7.3 obs psd's I was concerned about why mine was so loud. I thought maybe the aftermarket down pipe or just engine noise was to blame
Anyway I bought an oem boot. And it came with a white insulation boot also.
I took my old one off and the mounting bracket was busted. The boot had 4-5 holes in it. And there was completely no white noise insulator in the old one whatsoever.
Installed it today. And am very happy with the $75 I spend on it. Yes a little spendy. But totally worth it. Can have a conversation now In the cab without yelling. Lol

Top of the tranny. I had to slide the white part on here down the shaft. Then the black part on the shifter and mate the 2 together before putting the 4 screws in.

Jacob, just put a call in with your local Ford dealership. They aren't hard to locate in their system and they should be able to get it easily without a part number.
There is something magical about a new shifter boot. I put a new boot in my truck probably 5 years ago now and the difference it made was incredible.

Ummmm... The transfer case shifter has a shifter boot if you don't have the sissy version.
