1975 f100 Ranger XLT. It has a contour bumper. I have a parts truck that has a better contour bumper and brackets which I switched over. The old brackets had a hole drilled in each of the brackets on top, and a piece of sheet metal was bolted into the top of the bumper (chrome bolts) from end to end, so that visually a person could not look through the space between the bumper and the bed. It was painted the body color and had rubber edging on two sides. It seems to be something manufactured and not home made. I have looked on line, the shop manual, and at this site but cant find any information. I am not building a show piece but would like to do what is correct. Thanks

Only 1978/79 Bronco's have a rear filler panel (17808 stone deflector).
The chrome contour bumper is the same as 1973/79 F100/350's with 37 1/2" rear frame rails (D3TZ-17906-A), but the Bronco bumper brackets are not the same.
I made one for my 74 F100 cuz I did'nt like looking at the brackets. I made it of about .032 sheet metal that I found at home depot, it has a flange bent on one side, as I dont have a brake. I made end pieces that form around and match the ends of the bed. I mounted it under the bed to the cross piece with sheet metal screws. looks slick.
