Broken Timing Chain 351w

Hey I'm new here and although I am an experienced mechanic I've never done much to a Ford before. I got a 1983 F250 with a 351w and a 2bbl carb, its no longer running on whatever kinda computer system was in it originally, its just got a standard holley 2bbl and the proform gm hei for ford windsors in it. The timing chain broke while the engine was running and I need to know is the 351w an interference motor? That is with the chain breaking am I gonna have bent valves and smashed pistons? I'd like to just get in and out as quick as possible as the truck is an old rust bucket and not worth too much time. Any pointers from you seasoned ford truck guys would be much appreciated

well being that old it never had a computer to run off of. what you can do is pull off the water pump and brackets and such and replace the timming chain and gears. do you have a haynes manuel. if not go get one it will help out a lot. after getting that installed you might take off at least the valve covers and then slowly turn the motor over by hand watching each lifter operate. if ones bent youll know. then fire that puppy up. if it wont turn over by hand then there is probably more wrong then just a bent valve .
