These came on Ford trucks, bb's and sb's, and they have changeable bell housings. If one, as this one does, has a bell housing for a FE bb, would it simply be a matter of changing the bell housing to one for a sb?
Looks like its a BW T85 (maybe?) 3 spd overdrive.
Transmissions built before 1966 have a narrow bolt pattern. Most later transmissions have a dual bolt pattern (called butterfly) that has both the narrow and wide pattern.
Assuming the small block was built after '65 (6 bolt bell housing), you would need the later dual pattern transmission.
