Question about stock tuning

My truck will be on its way from Colorado to New York within the next week. My question is, is there any difference in stock tuning depending where the truck is sold for example this truck will be coming from about 7,500' to sea level. Are trucks sold around the country with different factory tunes due to altitude?

Your truck's going, but you're not ?!?

good question though... IMHO, my guess would be no... especially with a turbo'ed vehicle that basically 'makes it's own atmosphere' !

BUT, since you are coming DOWN into a heavier altitude, think you might experience some better performance...

The truck's computers will compensate for the change in environment. No more jets to change or air/fuel mixtures to adjust.

I live in New York my dad lives in Colorado. He is driving the truck in next week. He moved out there about 7 years ago and had a 6.0 when he moved out and took it to the dealer and they said they adjusted it for altitude. Maybe it was just bs

Yeah I havnt even driven it yet. I bought it in Colorado where he lives because they were a lot cheaper in his area. I put the down payment and he picked it up 3 weeks ago. Needless to say probably the longest 4 weeks of my life. But should be here Monday
