Short in the lights"

Hi guys, I drive an 86 full size Bronco 302. \

She has just started to turn her lights off at the most IN opertune time...

12 at night when I am driving home, but they do come back on and will go off

again.....My question is..... switch or Steering collum....I replaced 9 inches of Black wire going to the passenger head light.. But that has not helped

Any suggestions PLEASE let me know!!!!!

The switch is the culprit. It acts like a circuit breaker.

You will need a the switch and quite possibly a connector.

Check your High & Low beam switch first.
And Pleas note you are in the wrong forum as this is the bumpside 67-72 pickups.

I replaced the headlight switch. That solved the problem for a few months. But now it's back.

Replace the dimmer switch, because when clicking from low to high beam, a common problem occurs, the headlights go out. Click back to low beam, the headlights come back on.

C0TZ-13A024-A .. Dimmer Switch (Motorcraft SW-24) is the same floor mounted switch for cars and trucks from the 1960's into the 1990's.
