I bought tunes from Matt at Gearhead a few years ago.......Love them. Decided to return to stock today for some comparison. When I initiated the return to stock, the tuner told me my file was bad. I tried again and it let me load the stock program. Now the truck won't start. Turn the key and no starter engagement. I reloaded the tune I was running and same thing. Went to the vehicle info screen and it doesn't seem to be recognizing my VIN. Don't know what the hell to do now. Anybody have any suggestions? Now I wish I hadn't messed with it. Does anyone have Matt's email address? Figures this happens on a weekend.
Thanks guys. I'm going to leave disconnected overnight and will try in the morning. Anyone have Matt's email address. It's been a few years and I can't find it. I know he often checks it over the weekend.
Well, left batteries disconnected all night and light stitch on. Reconnected batteries still no start. connected programmer and went to vehicle info and it said it couldn't read the strategy. Downloaded the SRL+ tune again and now the truck will start but the ABS light comes on and is throwing a P1639 code. (PCM vehicle ID block corrupted or not programmed) I'm afraid to touch it again now that it starts.

Thanks,
The SCT Stock strategy is corrupted. Such can happen if the SCT tuner/software has ever been upgraded.
Of course one can always activate the starter at the solenoid to verify the truck is capable of turning over but all your warning lights will activate if your tune is bad.
I suspect you will simply have to contact SCT and have them program you a new stock tune/strategy. Check you fuses.
