Is it just me or are other's the same. May seem kinda funny but I just can't get tearing into the 6.0 and wrenching off my mind--FOR FUN!!! Am I crazy?
I am chomping at the bit to do stuff--only thing stopping me right now is the time and money. I once had a 92 Bronco with a 302 I pulled the engine and rebuilt just so I would know what had been done to it. I was a bit younger then and it only had 50K miles on it (I bought it new) It's a disease I guess.
yeah--nothing wrong with it-just upgrades that I'm wanting to do and a few preventative things while I'm in there. I hate working on stuff when I have too (breakdown) but just love doing it when it's at my choosing.
I take every thing known apart just for the hell of it. Josh
You too huh?
I take things apart just to see how and why they work. Owning a 6.0 and 7.3 has afforded me MANY opportunities to tear them apart, see what makes them tick, install a few upgrades, and put it all back together. I'd love to pull the engine on my 7.3 Excursion and do some resealing, freshening, and upgrading....just so I know it was done
I sometimes hold impromptu tech days to feed my "sickness". A bunch of guys and their trucks come over, things are pulled apart, put back together, and nothing makes me feel more accomplished than hearing it fire up after putting it all back together.
Call it a disease, sickness, obsession, or whatever, bottom line is that it's just plain awesome to be able to take things apart, learn, and put it back together.
I'm at the point in life where I just want the time to go fishing,I'm always taking stuff apart or fixing something someone couldn't do right the first time.

now that I don't like--gotta be on my own terms lol
Speaking of fishing. I'm out of commission for a few weeks. Cut a tire while mowing then as I was coming back to the house Saturday lost the tread on my spare. Got one new tire yesterday and still have to get another. Had to call Ranger to find out to proper size since I knew the ones on it weren't correct and at least 6 years old.
