1978 Question

Hey guys,

I just bought my first truck, a 1978 Super Trailer. It had the white cab on the truck bed from the manufacturer. I didn't like the way it looked with it on there so I removed it. However along the rails of the truck bed there are 3 square holds on each side. Do these need to be covered up with some kind of plastic/metal rail, or piece that pops in to them? Or are they ok getting rain and snow down there with no issues? Any solutions? thanks guys I greatly appreciate the help.

Jack

Welcome to the forum, Jack!

Those holes are just fine, they don't need a cover over them.

Yeah, welcome aboard.
The holes are called "stake pockets" and are there so you could put stake sides (posts) on the bed. This would allow you to carry loose loads.
No worries about leaving them uncovered, they drain to the ground.
