If you need ball joints, the normal procedure is to buy a new upper arm with the ball already installed,... and buy a good MOOG ball joint for the bottom and install into the original A frame. To do it yourself you need a variety of sockets and wrenches, floor jack, and air impact gun helps... and you need a press to get the lower ball out. You can borrow the press from Auto Zone if you buy the ball joint from them. Its not difficult, but you should have some background in mechanics to do this. Upper is not too hard. Just mark with a punch where the bolts/ washers set on the frame. Install in the same place, then go to an alignment shop to have it checked and finished. .... you need a pickle fork (ball joint spreader) to assist in getting things apart.
