Bronco tailgate motor

Are the window motors for the door windows the same as the tailgate motor. I cant get the tailgate motor to work. I tried plugging it into the door and still got nothing. I think its burnt up. I found almost all the wires melted together where the they go into the body after it comes from the gate. This is such a basket case

It's the same motor as the door but I cannot remember if it's a right or left door that matches it.

Must be right i tried matching it up with the driverside. Now to figure out all the electrical.

The passenger side motor is the right one for the tailgate, if you need a replacement I recommend the Dorman units. Mine has almost 3 years now and works flawlessly.

Doesnt autozone sell that brand. I have a paside window motor from a 95 f150 that works. I think i need to lube up the regulator good. Its hard to turn just by hand.
